ELIZABETH—Elizabeth High School will host a debate for candidates seeking seats on the Elizabeth Board of Education, according to Tom Gallagher, president of the Elizabeth High School PTA.
“This Candidates’ Night is always an enjoyable, rewarding and educational experience serving as an excellent forum for those vying for school board seats to be heard and convey their message to concerned members of the community,” Gallagher said.
The candidates this year are Neptune Ambroise, Alfonso Borrello, Elizabeth Cano, Maria Darrassi, Rafael Fajardo, Krishna Garlic, Francisco Gonzalez and Fernando Nazco. All eight candidates have been invited to participate in the debate.
The debate will be moderated by Louise Ballard of the League of Women Voters.
The PTA will host the debate on Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m. at Dwyer House Auditorium, Elizabeth High School, 600 Pearl Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07202.
